Boyes Mechanical has been trading for approximately 14 years. David Boyes (who has a vast knowledge of Caterpillar machinery) started as a subcontractor before he decided to take on a handful of employees. Today Boyes Mechanical employs 30 personnel, 16 tradesman and 9 apprentices.

At Boyes Mechanical we are constantly expanding and attracting new clients. The ongoing development of our company is both beneficial for the client as well as our employees. Our cliental range from the biggest gold and/or nickel mining companies in the world, down to the smallest operators of machinery. Our company aims to deliver quality service to anyone who requires assistance.

In order to meet our clients’ needs we continually follow up on the changing requirements in the mining industry, such as:

  • Our fleet of 11 vehicles equipped and maintained to mine site standards

We are continuously expanding our new workshop and premises. We are also interested in becoming a franchise to anyone looking at expanding into the Goldfields area.

Aims

At Boyes Mechanical we are dedicated to quality and service. We believe that safety is a top priority. We keep our fleet of 11 field service utes well maintained and presentable. This is the key to be able to provide reliable vehicles on demand. We assist our clients by offering a 24 hour 7 days a week service, to minimise downtime. The mining and civil sectors are always looking for skilled Diesel Mechanics and qualified tradesmen. At Boyes Mechanical we are constantly looking for apprentices to fill this gap in the industry.

Services

We currently work on a variety of different mining equipment and machinery (from a minor service to a complete machinery overhaul), as well as auxiliary equipment (for example: gensets, water pumps and lighting tower diesel engines).

Rebuilding components is also one of our specialities as well as complete rebuilds. Our work is 95% Caterpillar. We also have the experience to be able to work on Komatsu, Leibherr, Volvo, Case, Mitsubishi, Kobelco’s etc…. WE DO IT ALL!

We have the resources for the majority of Caterpillar equipment and machinery therefore we can provide a maintenance plan for you, to ensure that your machinery can be prevented from costly down time. To ensure the best possible service, we have a large array of Caterpillar tooling and equipment we pride ourselves on ensuring that all of our tooling and equipment is the best, to prevent delays when working on your machines as well as maintaining safety standards.
